Noblesville, IN studio 3 month milestone photography

Even if your baby is older than the typical 2-3 weeks for a newborn session, we can get them in the studio, wrap them up like a newborn, and take some milestone portraits! Evelyn was born quite a few weeks early, so developmentally, she was close to her 3 month marker despite being a couple months older at this point so we did 3 month milestone portraits. When I spoke to her mom, we talked about Evelyn’s stay in the NICU, how many weeks early she was, and how they never had newborn portraits taken. She of course wanted to have her documented while she was still little, so we tweaked her session to fit her developmental level! Evelyn was content to be wrapped for a quick studio session. She has such a sweet face, those bright eyes and perfect little cheeks are so cute!
I am so excited that in just a few weeks I get to photograph her again for her sitter session and this time we are doing an outdoor session for her and we’ll get some family shots as well! Look how sweet she looks…you’d never know she was in the running for fussiest baby for her parents for her first few months!! 😉

If you’re looking for a nearby photographer for your newborn, milestone, maternity or family photography needs, please take a look around and let me know if you’d like to get on the schedule! I offer sessions year round and love working with families to have a session that documents the beauty of your family at every stage.

Is 3 weeks too old for newborn photos?

Heck no! I typically schedule my newborn clients between weeks 2-3. This gives mom time to recover a bit from delivery, and settle into a feeding schedule with their new baby. It also allows for baby to get out of those initial days of feeding every 1-2 hours, and have longer stretches of comfortable sleep so they can last longer through the session with a full belly. Newborns typically sleep 17-20 hours per day so even if we do need to break during a session for a quick feeding, they drift off back to sleep soon after.
So even if your baby is 3 weeks or a bit older, call me to get on the schedule for your newborn photos, it’s not too late!
