As a Noblesville newborn photographer, some sessions carry a little extra meaning. This one is one of those.
I actually met this family’s dad years ago. He was a personal trainer at my gym, and we became friends. That friendship eventually led to me photographing their wedding. So when they told me they were expecting their first baby, a boy, I was thrilled. When they reached out about baby number two, I was completely over the moon for them.
A Full-Circle Newborn Session
Getting to photograph this family again for baby Alanah’s newborn session was such a full-circle moment. Jace, their sweet, spirited big brother, was an absolute doll the entire session.
A lot of big brothers aren’t exactly thrilled about lying down and holding their new baby sister. That’s completely fine. That’s when we get to improvise. We had so much fun trying different ways to get the two of them together. One of my favorite shots from the whole session came out of it: dad swinging a giggling, upside-down Jace mid-air.
The love this family has for each other is something you can feel the second you’re in the room with them. It made for such a joyful newborn session.

As a Noblesville newborn photographer, sessions like this remind me why I love this work so much. It’s not just about capturing a new baby. It’s getting to be a small part of a family’s whole story as it unfolds, year after year.
